The greatest Oasis song. ''Day by day theres a man in a suit who's gonna make you pay, for the thoughts that you think and the words they wont let you say''
A time when Noel's lyrics meant something. A time when Liam was God!

I don't listen to Oasis much at all but all those old songs that I haven't played to death just blow my head off. I've been listening to Hey Now loads this week after barely listening to Oasis for about six months. Just Hey Now.
Mad tune.

Been listening to the early stuff non stop for the past few weeks. Obviously Liams voice owns but Noel's lyrics back then really stand the test of time. Really underrated and you can still relate to them now. A lot of social commentary stuff deep down like this song. You can tell he wrote a lot of it when he had fuck all.

RIGHT, TONY ANA. "I don't believe in magic, life is automatic" Best anti-religious lyric ever. Yeah, I'm sure Noel was thinking about religion when he wrote that line. And not just attempting to ryhme two random words as he does in every other song.

Isn't magic automatic anyway? I mean there are a lot of things that are 'set' in order to do a magic trick, if you do it right it works, if you don't it doesn't. I've never really understood that line.

I don't believe in magic = there's no God, no super power Life is automatic = therefore there's no real reason to living, we just exist randomly
That's what these lines have always meant to me.
