Agreed, that's a special song. Seeing them live for the first time in 3 weeks, even more excited now.

I really like this, have it on for some late night listening,
Track 11 is cowritten by his 12 year old daughter. Whose actual name is poppy spaceman.

Yeah first impressions is it's a good record. Definitely better than A&E. It's predictable to the point where it could be a cliché with his hopelessly romantic lyrics, constant use of gospel/choirs and massive chorus's but I guess that's why we love him in the first place.
Had to chuckle at the the opening lyric for 'little girl' Sometimes I Wish That I Was Dead Spaceman x10000

Hey Jane has grown on me a lot. The album is alright but not a big deal yet.

I'm absolutely loving this record. Theres a couple of tracks I'm not totally sold on & when I get near the end it feels like it slightly outstays it's welcome a tad but on the whole this is a fantastic record. For me it sounds like it should be part of a trilogy with Ladies & gentleman + Let It Come Down. You wouldn't of thought this had come 10 years later after hearing the shift in direction on Amazing Grace or what appeared to be the decline of J.Spaceman after the somewhat uninspired A&E HOWEVER. During 'Little Girl' I keep hearing 'IF THERE SOMEBODY, CALLING ME ON, SHE'S THE ONE' by Robbie Williams I can't block Robbie out he's just there singing that line over and over again during parts of the song in my head. Wasn't really expecting much or very excited about this release but so far it's the best set of songs I've heard this year.

Really decent record. Due to the fact that there isn't really much good new rock n roll out at the moment, it's probably sounding a bit better than it maybe is. All the same though it's a definite return to form.

All the same though it's a definite return to form. It might be that, I think the record as a whole is a bit long and overblown (although Spirtualized by numbers) but there are a few tracks where it really works and I wet my pants.
