Nice! Ah, Carlos, how I loved you. I had a similar one from The Strokes' official fanclub (I was 19, ffs), can't remember what it contained now though, think I threw it out recently.

I have that somewhere, despite being slightly too old even then I signed up like a twat and paid my tenner at a gig (the same gig despite being sold out I'd managed to get 4 of us tickets for face value on the .org board, it was massively packed though cos the catering staff were letting people in the back of manchester uni for £20 a pop) the week before I'd seen them play a secret gig at the zanzibar, was offered a blow job for my ticket off some tart, went to the gig, I know I made the right choice.
btw krburg we're all still owed a gig from the albion arent we?

We are indeed, though I technically got to go to a gig, it was a competition win, they did promise a free gig to everyone as well as the competition chances! Do you remember Kirsty & Kirsty, they would have signed you up at the gig and they ran the thing, was going to send them a cheeky e-mail requesting my free gig or demand to be allowed to go to the forum gig, but they seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth, and by that I mean no longer run the forums..

Whilst we're all Libertiny, isn't .org a mess these days?

Thanks, great read. I'm still waiting for John to tell me why he prefers The Beatles to the Stones though. That Manson story And what 60s song does Last Post On The Bugle's chorus rips off? Anyway, loved the band, any news of they carrying on or they don't need the money anymore? Should they ruin their legacy?

Been readind their interview from their 2nd NME cover. Pete's coked up and chatting all kinds of funny guff.
NME: What is it about England that's so important to the band?
Pete: "We're not in a band. That's why we're called The Libertines - there's no states, there's no barriers or borders. There are no limits. We've had about 60 people in this band over the years, from Stoke Newington squats to fields in the middle of Dublin. And we're nostalgic for a time that doesn't exist (Gestures towards Carl) About three years ago he wanted to form a suicide pact. He was well up for it. "Let's throw ourselves off a tall building. Let's shoot eachother at the same time." This is the same thing. Signing to Rough Shade - It's the same as shooting eachother."
Pictures are lush too.
