For general discussion of friendlies, World Cup Qualifiers etc. Supposed England line up V Holland: Hart, Richards, Smalling, Cahill, Baines; Gerrard, Parker, Barry; A Johnson, Welbeck, Young In World Cup qualifying, Bahrain (who'd only scored 3 goals in 5 games) needed to make up a 9 goal differential and hope that Qatar lost to Iran to go through to the next qualifying round. They beat Indonesia 10-0 with help from a 2nd minute red card and 2 penalties  Still missed out though  |
