Couple of numbers in, it's better than the last album. Can't hear any differences compaerd to the youtube stuff that was already out though.

I heard a few of the tracks have changed languages from their original form. Hope it's an improvement on the last two anyway

He should write stones/shoegaze ripoffs again because however out there Anton tries to get he'll never match The Jesus Abyss.

Dropped out half way in. Glad I didn't pre-order it. It's hard to let go of that initial feeling that My Bloody Underground was a very brave move at the time. However, it's quite shit in places and I might have been wrong all along. Drones are unneccesary. Last great work: Bravery Repetition and Noise

I've read some warm reviews but it is boring as fuck and wouldn't get a mention if it wasn't a BJM record.

Yeah I think this latest is an improvement on the last two but not a patch on anything else. These are just Anton solo mix tapes basically. And that is shown by the fact that essentially nothing from these albums gets played live (except for tunes like "I want to hold your other hand" which are obviously in the mould of old BJM. I just saw them last week and it was my favorite show of theirs I've seen yet.

just seen that BJM are doing a uk tour in the summer and are coming to norwich they're one of the main bands on my not seen live list ive been looking to tick off so im pretty excited about it. what are the like live nowadays, i know the last couple of albums have been a bit pony but looking at setlist fm it seems they still play a fair bit of older stuff too. is anton still mental?

Last time I caught them live they didn't play any of the newer stuff, it was just the hits. As for Anton he hardly spoke a word, in fact it was one of the most boring gigs I have ever been to. In fairness the rest of the shows on that tour got great reviews but the Belfast date was awful.

Probably the most hit & miss band I've ever seen. The set-list is pretty much a greatest hits, minus a few numbers the set hasn't changed a great deal since 2007.

I saw them play Glasgow in 2010 and they were superb. The band were on fire and Anton was in a great mood. Happily, they're playing Glasgow again in the summer, plus it's on a Saturday night.

The "best" time was when I saw them in Gothenburg. My birds older brother who had only seen Depeche Mode & U2 live asked me what they sounded like so I said "a bit like the Rolling Stones" so he decided to come along. The gig went fine for about 5-6 songs until Nevertheless - Anton stopped the song twice because he wasn't happy with the drummer. He told the drummer to get off his stage to which the drummer didn't move and Anton stormed off stage The band were left there for 15/20 minutes making up some terrible improvised Jam & the bass player told a couple of terrible jokes. Eventually Anton came back on stage & he was fucked His eyes were completely gone, they carried on & it was a complete mess. Anton started playing guitar with a wine bottle Was pure chaos but fuck was it a fun show. Couldn't believe the Swedes, they all politely applauded Anton when he came back on stage Needless to say her brother didn't enjoy the gig.

sounds like a top gig. I guess that's always the risk, whether Anton will be on the smack or not. The two other times I saw them at T in the Park I remember them being decent, guess I'm due seeing a duff performance. It's like The Fall, I saw three great gigs in a row then the next time MES walked off after 3 songs.
