nah, Aerosmith has made some mega music, especially the mid-70s records yes they are considered shit nowdays -- mainly because they fucked it all up at some point and started to produce awful music, like all these bands do when they reach a certain age and status, but the early stuff was boss -- and I hate to agree with axl

Aerosmith - get your wings - toys in the attic - rocks = one of the best album runs of all time
Not to keen on draw the line
Even when they were out of it on heroin they still had amazing tunes on their records.
Amazing dirty sexy rock n roll band.
Just amazing.

Downloaded most of their discography up until the last few albums a while back. Finally started with their debut, really, really good old school Rock 'n Roll.
Quite weird how different Steven Tyler's vocals are, almost unrecognisable on a few tracks. Few duff tracks but stuff like Movin' Out, Dream On & Mama Kin are bad ass. The only other early record I've heard was 'Rocks' which was pretty good but I need to revisit as it's been a couple of years.

Aerosmith are the band who have now spent almost thirty years making power ballads and that's all I need to know about them. Joke band.

I know you made that post purely to wind up Axl but it's a bit like saying The Stones are rubbish because they've been shit for 30 years.

Honestly don't feel the need to ever listen to early aerosmith ever, firstly it's a band that bellends with bad taste like. Secondly I don't really like coked up seventies rock anyway and thirdly there's thousands of other bands I've not heard yet, why would the fact that this one is popular with shit people make me want to hear them first?

Your choice David.
I'm just glad I'm not put off bands just because they are popular with an unfashionable crowd. Though these people you mention have probably never even heard any of their pre 80's material anyway.
I'm off to delete my Bee Gees, Dexys, Oasis & Alice Cooper records because bellends with bad taste like them.

im undecided on aerosmith, i cant really get the atrocites of their power ballad era seperated from anything else. handful of great great songs, but nothing to say theyre an all time great band.
Dream On, (aerosmith, not Noel) is proabably however one of my least favourite songs ever, i just cannot fucking stand it. absolutely hate it. dont even mine eminem's sing for the moment, just fucking hate dream on so much.
