I was actually tempted to buy one of their 7" just because there was a b-side with The Stands (minus Howie) singing on it. Saw them live cause of The Stands, like pretty much all of us. They could play, but their songs were just...well, OBVIOUS. Everything about them was just so obvious, I guess that was what made them irritating. Plus they were cheeky, but not in that funny way Darkness were -- they were "too" into it!

I was never bothered about them, but I was always a bit taken aback by the amount of flack that Viva Brother attracted.

They wouldnt have attracted that much flack if their interviews weren't so ridiculous. The last band to say things like that in interviews were Oasis, but they had the tunes to back it up and more.
Viva Brother fully deserved the stick they got.

First album was fine, second was alright. Didn't hate the lead single from the third.
I appreciated that they were huge Oasis fanboys, who hated 90s music until Liam and Noel came along.
