Probably the only time you've mentioned a shit band without bigging them up tbh Steve. I loved Get Born for about 2 minutes when it came out but I realised pretty quickly that they were fucking awful. The Stands were epic on the tour they did together. Jet were mince.

I loved the gig they did with The Stands. And I was one of 3.5 million mugs that paid for the album. What was the name of that slow number they did? Had a fucking horrendous chorus, sticks with me even now. "OOOH, LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE, YOU'VE GONE AND MADE A FOOL OF EVERYONNNNE' <= that's Dylanesque lyrics right there.

tbh I never understood the pure hatred for them. Yeah they weren't very good but I can think of a 1001 bands that have been successful since that aren't as good as jet.

Look What You've Done was Ok and that big black boots one is still fun at indie clubs. I've not heard anything else and I really don't care about them at all. Rabo had a Jet t-shirt. TRUE STORY BTW

i'll admit to liking them. law of diminishing returns however from get born onwards, and when its as deriative as it is, they dont have a lot of room to move. back in the day had a lot of fun with that album and its good having beers music, but im not heartbroken over this and havent bothered with anything from them in years.

They opened for oasis in toronto back in....05? (It was on the DBTT tour, anyway). The mad rush for the beer line the moment they finished the itunes song (are you gonna go my way or whatever it was) was like nothing I've ever seen before or since.
Dreadful. At least oasis made up for it by coming back to toronto the next year and had the arctic monkeys as the support.
