felt like watching filth & the fury for the first time in yonks. thought they would be touring this summer what with the diamond jubilee. surprised to see they aren't.  anyway. put ya records up. live footage etc. the punk rock spirit is still out there people.    |

They were fucking atrocious when I saw them last time they toured. Left after about five songs it was so poo. Rotten is touring with PIL this year.

Though depends how lenient with the genre of Punk you are being. Most my favourites fall more into garage rock, new-wave, post-punk & whatnot.

I've always thought Ramones are one of the most underrated or at least little talked about bands on the history of these boards.
I don't know how anybody can't love the Ramones.

Still a lot of great punk being made. You just have to dig around a bit.
Obvioulsy 'punk' is no longer a word worth using as it's been completely neutralized by media, but what can you do..
Definitely one of the finest songs in the genre:

Always rated 'Young,loud and snotty' by the Dead Boys.  Pink flag by Wire in 1977 must be one of the best records around that time aswell. Classed as punk rock? probably post Punk.  |

One of the best punk singles ever. And it was by a bunch of Austrailians. Seriously, if you've never heard this, get it on now. You'll be playing it every day for a week.
