Just don't understand the retrospective love for Be Here Now.
Loved it as a kid when it first came out but unlike DM and MG I just can't get on with it now. Most songs have some decent moments but there lost in a sea of repetition and fuck me, Magic Pie is one of the worst songs of all time.

I remember going on holiday with my mum and dad a few days after release (my abacus tells me I was twelve), and it was such a joyous moment in my life. We hired a car for the week and I remember I barely said a word to my folks or my brother the whole trip, I just seemed to spend the entire holiday in the backseat with my discman with the album on loop riding around dusty roads, gazing out the unwound window, the sun blasting on to my face. Right there, right then, I felt invincible, it was my greatest childhood memory and it was only fitting it was born through the band that changed my life.

Maybe you can't hear it properly from under your massive vagina flaps, lady The only real tragedy of the Be Here Now era was Noel taking vocals duties on The Fame

When you think about it there hasn't even been a rock and roll band who has come close to having such an anticipated release worldwide since and there are times I doubt a band will ever have so much hype to live up to. Sure it didn't live up to some peoples expectations and so what if I still haven't made it to the end of the first listen because the outro chorus to it's gettin' better (man) is still playing; I stilllove the album

Hardly listen to it anymore, and haven't listened all of the way through for a good few years now but whenever I put on a song from it (apart from Magic Pie), I still love it. Was just watching the G-Mex gig the other week, fuck me them songs sound great live as well

Queued up outside HMV and bought it when the shop opened. There was local news down to record proceedings, i never got interviewed but i was floating about in the background.
Bewley's coffee shop came down to the queue and gave out vouchers for a 'Be Here Now Breakfast', it was the most beautiful meal i have ever eaten.
As for the album after DM it's my second favourite Oasis record. It's to HUGE for words.
