Downloaded this for the first time in years thanks to Ton-man reminded me that it still existed.. About 8 years ago I used to use it all the time. Got it again expecting it to be a bit of a ghost town but it's fantastic. Yeah it's not changed, you can only download files from one user so if they bugger off half way through you'll have to either get it from someone else or wait until they come back on but I've been finding so much shit I've been after on there. I've gotten 20 of the 22 Billy Childish albums I hadn't been able to find, it was like Christmas seeing them all pop up. Also when shit leaks I know those file hosting sites can be a pain in the arse waiting for the clock to go down then putting the code in plus all the advertisements. I've been just getting new records from there, so much easier. So for anyone struggling to get hold of albums these days just get soulseek & you are away www.soulseekqt.net/ |

yeah soulseeks the greatest when you want to download some more rare and less popular music. Ive used it more or less regularly since I got into it. But I still use torrent when I want to download some movies.
I recommend soulseek to everyone who wants to download music instead of buying real records.

I can't use torrents so have only used soul seek for the past decade for all my music downloads. Reliable and safe little program. Highly recommended.

Depends who you download off. It says the K/S next to the file before you download.

seems to be shit loads of music on there, althought the quality is sometimes questionable, a lot of the stuff I've downloaded so far has no labels either, still miles better than using google.

The bi-rates are shown on the right so you can see what quality you are getting but yeah theres many people who have ripped their CD's in shit quality. Is a pain when things aren't tagged properly

should be a userlist on the right, right click there and click add
or add userlist to the panel on 'view' at the top if it's not there, I've added you so I'll know when you come on.
