The jam are my favourite ever but in terms of a 3 piece where all 3 members were superb it has to be the Hendrix experience, pains to say it but weller could of had any other 2 blokes in the band and it wouldn't of made much of a difference.

Tho bruce did come up with a few great songs. btw, u seen phonics are doing WORD GETS AROUND plus b-sides in full? SUCK ON THAT WEEZER, im fucking having some of that as good as mitch mitchell and the other geezer  were as musicians. jimi proved that they were completely expendable after a couple of years and got another band (admittedly kept mitch ). weller stayed with those guys till the end bless him.  |

tbh cream as players were just as good. i'd shade it 2 to 1 in favour of cream actually. jimi being better than eric. ;D although i do prefer clapton as a songwriter i think. and ginger baker & jack bruce both shading out mitchell & redding.  |
