I was reading his obituary the other day, and I'd never realised until then just how many great songs he'd written or played on. Definitely had a load of talent, but it seems like he was one of those guys who concentrated on being a brilliant sideman rather than putting out a lot of records in his own name. Still, I've loved this since I was a kid:
