Anyone heard this lot?
LastFM says:
"Black Market Karma are a four piece band from South East TCOTU, formed around October 2007
They take music from the past and bring it into the now, taking influence from, The Velvet Underground, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Jesus & Mary Chain, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Nirvana etc"
They're rocking my socks at the moment, reckon Karl Mahoney and Super Johnny will probably enjoy. To me, they're very BRMC.

Never heard of them, just checked out Violet, big tune. They got an album out this year?
South East TCOTU, the center of the musical universe.

I was listening to them on Spotify this morning. Managed to find their first album after various Google searches and it was 87% downloaded when my connection died.
Upto the point of leaving work, it was still broke. Hopefully it'll be fixed when I get in and get them downloaded. If you find liks, giz a PM. If not, I'll try and some when I finish work and PM them to you.
This could be a defining moment for me, sort of like when Moz discovered Pains.

I'm not diving into a band with three records in a year until their quality is contrasted...

Just stuck on the opening track from their EP from last year. It sounds exactly like BRMC To the point where you could of retagged the song and I'd of fallen for it. So so big.

Blatant BRMC rip off band... Sounds like they've got all BRMC's songs, seperated the tracks and spliced them together to make different songs
Sound pretty good though

The more BRMC like albums the better

I echo that sentiment, rounder.

I don't mind imitators as long as they don't sound too bland, the problem with many rip-off bands is they mimic everything with a huge lack of agressiveness. What about these?

Listen and find out?
Just heard their debut LP Comatose. Solid but it seemed to drag a bit towards the end. Hoping the second album sounds exactly the same meaning their third will be a big departure with acoustic guitars and harmonicas.

Well, it is called 'Easy Listening' so you never know.
Can't wait to get and give them a proper listen. It's not likely they'll be better than BRMC but few bands are, really.

I think their downfall is some of the songs are just too long and a tad bit repetitive.

Moz never tried to sell the Pains like that...

The opening track from Comatose, 'Dee Dee', is so fucking big.
You bothered listening to them yet, Barn? I could whack you together some sort of 'Best of...' if you wish?
