3 nights of Liam should do the trick I think.
Friday: Liam Gallagher sings his big solo tracks Saturday: Liam Gallagher sings the songs of Beady Eye Sunday: Liam Gallagher sings the songs of Oasis
Special guests: Dave Grohl & Chris Martin, whether he likes it or not.

Lol as if the independent can handle the power of GNR. All those WOKE fucks trying to pretend that Lana Del Rey and all these other losers were any good. GNR delivered a performance for the ages. Prince died before he got to play Glasto, but he knew he could never top the power of Axl’a range. 10/10 set. Elton John can die,

A pretty transparent effort from forgotten NME hack Mark Beaumont to get some social media traction. It seems to have worked as well. It’s funny that some of the moral objections raised against GNR, and Axl specifically, in 1989 can still get wheeled out in 2023. I enjoyed the GNR set. I found it a bit odd that Axl was so well behaved. And on time! Elton’s set was great. We’ll miss him and his gold tracksuit when he’s gone. I’m not going to entertain this Arctic Monkeys debate. They are a terrible live act. Turner’s voice simply isn’t good enough to be Bryan Ferry, no matter how much he wants it to be.

The guns n roses performance was special.
A 61 year old axl rose gave it his absolute best and he fucking meant it. UNPARALLELED CONVICTION LEVELS.
The video recordings from fans at the show are basically the pinnacle of power. The broadcast was hit and miss in terms of the vocal mix and the beeb actually released a statement and blamed high definition tv’s for the sound issues, wtf?
But my god there were moments when it all clicked and it was basically the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, he sang “reckless life” and he sounded just like he did in 1987. Seeing 100k people dance and sing to “she’s pretty tied up and you can ride her” was probably the greatest moment of 2023. No wonder the fucking independent are raging.
I went to a concert many years ago and axl walked off with 5 songs to go and they rolled out Sebastian fucking Bach to finish the set.
This ain’t the same man, it’s so refreshing to see axl rose make a welcome turn towards supercharged professionalism even with a voice that’s shot.
11/10 performance.
Oh and I still can’t find the words to describe slash’s performance. He simply stole the entire festival.

Cheers barny, the replacements are one band I’ve been meaning to check out for years. I’ve got the “let it be” downloaded although I haven’t listened to it properly.
