NME's review of Jake Bugg's record is spot on.

I wasn't sure when I posted it that it'd be too popular, what a band. JP, I'm so PUMPED for the end of year lists. Remember guys, anybody who posts theirs before December 15th gets the really nasty AIDS virus.

A record from this year I'm really loving is psicomagia's self titled, It's this mostly instrumental psychedelic jam-band with nods to jazz-fusion & prog, the record is only four songs but they are mostly lengthy. Will definitely be high on my end of year list. you can listen on bandcamp psicomagiamusic.bandcamp.com/

Might get lolled at for this but Lorde's debut is pretty damn good. Not album of the year material but a few great songs on there...

What angered me most about that list wasn't that it was produced to early it's that they had a joint 49th favourite record. I mean who the fuck does that?

its just cos they're kim gordon and thurston moore's respective solo efforts innit. still a bit wanky i know but i think they were just lumping them together in denial that sonic youth are no more.

Right. Basically they are acting like children do right after their parents divorce. Their editors room probably has a someone who is photoshopping them together in christmas cards for the next twenty years

If it wasn't for that bit of the Happy Birthday song, Nobunny's record could be a contestant for a top3 position in my 2013 list...
