Wavves' new album Afraid of Heights is out March 26 via Mom + Pop. And after divulging a few album details and sharing the track "Sail to the Sun", the band has offered the tracklist, artwork, and a new song from the King of the Beach follow up. Check out "Demon to Lean On" above. Afraid of Heights is available for pre-order now. You can buy it on vinyl, with a bunch of pins, with a t-shirt, and with Nathan Williams' Negative Dad comics. Or on iTunes. The duo of Williams and Stephen Pope are heading out on an enormous North American tour behind the album. Check out their dates with FIDLAR and Cheatahs below. Williams discussed the overall tone of the new album in a press release: "The general theme of the record is depression and anxiety, being death-obsessed and paranoid of impending doom. I feel like the narration is almost schizophrenic if you listen front to back; every word is important, even the constant contradictions and lack of self-worth. That's all a part of this record-questioning everything not because I'm curious, but because I'm paranoid." The press release also notes that Williams paid for the album's sessions out-of-pocket. As previously reported, Afraid of Heights will feature guest work from Jenny Lewis, Rilo Kiley frontwoman and bearer of pot cookies. Afraid of Heights: 01 Sail to the Sun 02 Demon to Lean On 03 Mystic 04 Lunge Forward 05 Dog 06 Afraid of Heights 07 Paranoid 08 Cop 09 Beat Me Up 10 Everyhting Is My Fault 11 That's On Me 12 Gimme a Knife 13 I Can't Dream 14 Hippies Is Punks (iTunes Bonus)

Album of the year is (although it apparently was released last year in the states) Big Inner by Matthew E. White. Amazing record.

Downloaded UMO the other night. Remember a lot of hype surrounding their debut. Heard one track from it which I thought was decent but never delved further.

Am enjoying the debut by The History Of Apple Pie, daft name & the vocals are a bit annoying but I love the sound, some great guitar parts. I think you would like Steve.
She and him can fuck off, especially she. Pair of cunts. Such a shame Camera Obscura have to support such shit.

history of apple pie were great when i saw them support the horrors last year but on first listen the vocals ruined the album a bit for me. im hoping they grow on me though as the tunes are clearly there and guitar noises were great

I know! They are one of them which are a bit indie-pop but also a bit shoegaze, they make me very confused.
They should get a moody looking bloke who wears only black to do the vocals.
