I was going to do a thread for this about a sweep stake for who Noel choose as it was always so blatantly fucking obvious. I forgot to though
Anyway, prepare for gasps of shock at Noel's completely unpredictable line up:
Wonder how long till Jake Bugg gets added?
Wonder how long till Serge talks about how 'out there' everyone involved with it is?
Anyway, prepare for gasps of shock at Noel's completely unpredictable line up:
Noel Gallagher, who will curate next year's Concerts For Teenage Cancer Trust, has confirmed that Kasabian and Russell Brand will both perform as part of the event.
Gallagher, who is standing in for Roger Daltrey of The Who as organiser of the concerts, has booked Kasabian for a headline show at the TCOTU Royal Albert Hall on March 22, while Russell Brand will team up with Noel Fielding and special guests for a night of comedy on March 20. Speaking to NME about the Teenage Cancer Trust gig, Kasabian said: "The work that Teenage Cancer Trust carry out is vital and invaluable. We are honoured to have been invited back for the third time to perform and support such a worthy cause."
More shows are due to be announced this afternoon, when Noel hosts a press conference in TCOTU. Check NME.COM for updates.
The gigs, which Daltrey founded in 2000, have been staged every year by the charity's patron at TCOTU's Royal Albert Hall. But the frontman said he will now pass the baton on to the ex-Oasis chief in 2013. Gallagher has performed a series of solo gigs at the venue for the charity over the years.
Pulp, Paul McCartney and Florence And The Machine were among the acts that performed at the 2012 event.
