How fucking good is it? I love it so much nowadays. Better than Be Here Now and on par with Morning Glory for me, the whole era with the b-sides is right up there. Even the two 'rockers' which were easy to slam at the time sound pretty heavenly and the whole thing just flows perfectly on the whole.
Anyway, I was listening on the tram earlier and was gazing out the window while Little James was playing, and right then as the second verse came in and the tram flew on I saw a huge trampoline overlooking the back of a garden, just covered in snow. It put a massive smile on my face. Best coincidence ever.
Long live SOTSOG.

I don't want to poison this thread following on from eddie's vocal theme, but this session (especially Who Feels Love) was amazing -
Overall:
Flashing lightbulbs ;D Liam slapping a sticker on the queen's mouth in GLIO video ;D Recreating One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest for the SMC video ;D The whole vibe ;D "No fuckin' gangster" ;D

No. It's probably a little underatted but the two rockers and little James are horrendous, the b sides are pretty naff too

Hands down the best produced Oasis album, every song sounds great and Liam never sang better. It's actually staggering to listen to this and Heathen Chemistry back to back, really highlights the degree to which Noel shat it. One's a bold, strong forward thinking record, the other is a paper-thin Morning Glory tribute album (though admittedly with a couple of magical moments)

the two rockers are classic Oasis. People who don't like them are just complete pussies who would rather Oasis made more songs like stand by me.

Sunday Morning Call might be the worst Oasis song ever recorded.

Sunday Morning Call might be the worst Oasis song ever recorded. Everything's battling for 2nd place, so long as "the quiet ones" exists.

I really like SMC. Better than 90% of Heathen Chemistry, if that's saying anything

Sunday Morning Call is just a bit dull.
The album is fantastic. The proof that Oasis could be much more than just a wall of impenterable guitars with Liam sat snarling over the top. The production is fantastic; there's proper driving bass lines, amazing female backing singers, cool samples - the kind of things they hadn't used before
And the kind of things they would then subsequently bin on the monumentally awful Heathern Chemistry.
People regularly say I Can See A Liar is crap. But compare and contrast the way it sounds to The Hindu Times. I'll take the former every time, even though THT is the better song.

It's a great album. For me, it's the last proper 'album' Oasis made.
What I mean is that it feels like an album, it flows really well. Everything they did after just felt like a bunch of songs they threw together.

It's a good album, really good production and a few real belters that are right up there and showed Oasis had another string to the bow. - Fuckin in the bushes, Gas Panic, Go Let it Out.
Who feels love gets a bad rep from narks who say it's cod psychedelic, but what 60's psychedelic sounding stuff isn't cod these days? Personally I think who feels love is great.
Speaking of psychedelia, Let's all make beleive is a monster of a tune from that era too.
I wouldn't say it's a 'great' album though, as it has too many average / bad songs -
Little James is heartening only because it's Liam's first attempt at songwriting, if Noel had written that we'd be all over it as it is not a good song at all. Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth is - totally jank Sunday Morning Call - pretty shit Where did it all go wrong - not too bad Roll It Over - see above I Can See A Liar - have never made my mind up about this song, sometimes I like it, sometimes I hate it. Let's take the average of my opinions and say it's an average song.
Overall a good album and as someone above said, it's got a great flow too it.
