Great album, apart from the Doors karaoke of "Put Yer Money where Yer Mouth Is" and "I Can See a Liar," where they suddenly sound like .38 Special (Check out "Caught Up In You" by them). I like .38 Special well enough, but I didn't want Oasis to sound like them.
I have time for "Little James." It's no "Hey Jealousy" by the Gin Blossoms, but it also not anywhere nearly as bad as the worst Noel songs on the album.
"Go Let It Out" and "Sunday Morning Call" are among my favorite Oasis tunes.

Probably my favorite Oasis album lately. And I absolutely LOVE Little James. Haters gotta hate all the #swag of that song.

SOTSOG is probably the Oasis album I find it harder to connect with, don't know why

Little James is a fucking awesome song apart from the lyrics on that one verse... People call the whole song shit coz of those shit lyrics.
The only bad song on there imo is PYMWYMI, thats fucking shit
Go Let It Out and Roll It Over are in my top 10 Oasis songs

it's a very good record, and I think, probably the only record Oasis ever put out that makes more sense as a whole album than as a collection of individual songs, there's an homogeneous sound and atmosphere that the following records don't have. The two rockers are great and it's a pity they have never used them in a live set. Little James is awful, yes, but it works as a little interlude in the middle of the record (still better than A Quick Peep or whatever that abortion was called).
The record is good, the songs are (mostly) good, the b-sides were brilliant considering what came next - I think this was the direction Oasis were supposed to follow, albums that are maybe less radio-friendly/single-oriented with a good mixture of brute rockers and sophisticated british psychedelia...but that unfortunately didn't happen because they recruited two new members who had no interest in pushing Oasis into new territories but just wanted to be in the same band they idolized in 1995.

There was a time when i really connected (lol) with sunday morning call and where did it all go wrong, then I grew hairs on my sack. noel period-pain shitrock. Little James is fantastic though, hope james grows up and switches trampolines for noel's face.

This is bollocks, I agree with the sentiment about SOTSOG but I disagree with the detail. Little James is great, and it's a odd bit to blame Gem & Andy for Dwayne's penchant for mediocrity when they founded the more interesting of the post-Oasis groups.

Little James is great all round, the production, vocals, and yes, LYRICS. It's not meant to be an election speech ffs. And I do feel like I'm sailing out at sea in the last verse, sails up, wind storm out, eddiemurphy manning the decks - I bet that's not the first time you've been called seaman, eh eds? LOLZ.

I find the lyrics particularly adorable and a big part of the reason why I love Liam so much. And if I have a kid I WILL name him/her James just so I can sing it to him/her.

Gas Panic! is one of the best things they've ever done.

Gas panic is great, Sunday morning is of course the second worst oasis song behind little by little, but the real problem with the album is roll it over, which is a bit wank and fails miserably at a go at closing with an epic tune.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the opening track, oasis at their best in my opinion. I like go let it out and gas panic, who feels love I like the lyrics, but think the song could have been better. Not fussed on the two Noel sung songs and the two rockers would be great if the lyrics had of been a bit better, same with Little James. Roll it over is boring, nice guitar parts in the solo, but that's all it has other than Liam's vocal. The annoying thing about that album was it was almost fantastic, but because of the above points it just left me disappointed and frustrated. Still though Fuckin' in the bushes, that's all.

Took me a while to get to it, but popped this on while wandering around town tonight. Amazing how, more than any other album, whenever I listen to it, it takes me back to exactly where I was when it came out, lo those many years ago. Love it to bits. Even Little James. Hell, even (the instrumental part of) Put your money where your mouth is sounded lovely tonight.
