Bodes well for the album.
Other than Four Letter Word, both tracks blow everything off the debut out of the water.
It's clear that Sitek recognizes Beady Eye have an instrument no other band posses, nor can they emulate: Liam Gallagher.
Sitek's production across the board on the 2 tracks we've heard is shimmering.

It's ok, hate that "tickle my feet with the nme" lyric tho- sounds gem-ish that line, which is always a bad thing - but yeah it's ok, certainly this and FOTF are a marked improvemt from virtually all the last album (except the first 2 and BTL) so it bodes well NME or enemy?

lyrics are truly dreadful but in every other way this is another fantastic track imo.

The soundtrack to Rocky fighting Tarzan in the jungle.
Sounds a lot better in the brunch sunlight than it did at 6am hangover as fuck.

This is a tune. A high quality rip and some nice speakers and the summer starts here

After hearing two tunes of the new album this isn't what I was expecting from Beady Eye.
BDI and NG&THFB will always be compared and with the promise of an album done with Amorphous Androgynous Noel appeared to be the one going down an experimental route but he bottled it.
BDI have run with it, Liam's voice has been stripped back and he's sounding amazing, the production is incredible and the tunes have a different sound to them but are still massive.
I do prefer Flick Of The Finger but this is a tune as well.

I much prefer Liam's actual voice to the kind of iconic digitally enhanced voice that's gone on everything since SOTSOG.
You can hear he's having fun singing the verses.

everything about the way it sounds is fucking great. shit lyrics but then that's pretty much a given, isn't it? i'm really feeling it.
makes me wish they'd kept sons of the stage back to record with sitek.

Pretty much agree with what's been said. The lyrics are shit not helped by the nursery rhyme delivery of the verses but when it kicks in it's really good. Definitely the production that makes this tune, stripped down I can't imagine it being very good.
Be interested to see how they pull these songs off live, wonder if extra musicians will be drafted in?

Not sure if there is chorus. Other than that it's great. Good to see they finally invited back Tony McCarroll.

I hope they'll recruit former oasis drummers, tony mcbackbeat and alan whiteyboy to the tour..doing some strings and percussions! And handing free spirits for the audience. True spartans. Fuck Noel Gallagher and Russell Brand. the production is almost gigamega. I just listened to the apple tune on my sennheisers, sounded large and Liam sounded alright despite some of his nasal moments during the verses. At least he sounds honest and wild. Weird tune, but this album will definitely be a party rocking one. The future looks good for beady eye, maybe Noel will ask for joining them pretty soon.. Fuck off Noel with your daddy folk-rock, we are beady eye and we'll soon conquer the Mars.
