... which deserve to be singled out, for some reason.
The first one I wanna say is from a new show called Nathan For You. The basic premise for most of the episodes is Nathan goes round various businesses posing as a business guru and suggesting trials of bizarre, off-the-wall business ideas and seeing how the businesses run with them. This alone is up and down, there are some great bits like the haunted house which turns in to a 'real life nightmare' and various job interviews with a child dictating his responses to the questions via earpiece, but there are other bits which just involve him being a bit of a cunt to immigrant workers and leaning on people's good nature. Episode 7 However is completely different, he turns it on himself and has an episode revolving around him performing a stunt so absurd and needless it just has to be seen, seriously, just torrent it:
---
Number 2 is the Donny Tourette episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks. The thing I notice most about this episode is how much Bill Bailey outs himself as absolute nark-in-chief. Donny is there doing his thing, being funny, getting laughs from the audience and generally dominating proceedings and Bailey absolute cannot handle it. People like to gloss over this episode as 'oh yeah he made a fool of himself, Bailey owned him with his wit lol' when the exact opposite is true, Bailey's panic stricken non-comeback when Donny calls him 'pretty ugly' is the cherry in the Donster's crown here. Also outing Amstel's crush on him was hilarious, Amstel recovered pretty well but you could tell he was shaken by the power of the Tower. All in all Donny's performance here would have to be the best and most punk thing to happen on UK TV since some cunt got called a rotter in the 70's. 'It's a mucho mucho love-o thing'
