I don't think he's shit but he's no way the God of music he seems to be nowadays.

Really like Smoke Ring For My Halo. Thought his new one was a bit shit at first but it's growing on me a bit.
A 7.5 / 10 artist.

Deep Shadows by Little Ann Just found it. Her story is too much like a female soul version of Rodriguez, but without happy ending. This record was finally released in 2009 after being 30 years in the shelves, she was already dead. Short & sweet, Motown production, cracking voice.

Am I the only one that thinks Kurt Vile is shit? the new album is awful and the only time I saw him live the whole band were stoned stupid and it was pure boredom, but the previous albums have some charm. mind you, if he suddenly dissapeared, I doubt anyone would really notice.

Grabbing that, first one sounds in the vein of Los Saicos, second one is simply incredible it comes from where and when it comes.

This chilean band apparently had a huge influence on The Beatles and the birth of Sgt Pepper.
I don't know about Los Saicos. Any links ?

Erm, it is actually the other way around, but it's good nonetheless...
Don't have any link right now, but Los Saicos are a latin 60s version of early Black Lips. So much ahead of their time.

Really ? That's not what i've been told. But I don't know anything about Los Mac's, I've discovered the album a couple of hours before you did.
I'm going to search for Los Saicos, thanks for the tip !

Back in the day we used to sit round my mates house drinking before we went clubbing. He used to play all this shit. He was always going on about KRS1. Strange 10 years late I've dipped my toe in.
I'll hammer this album some more before moving onto the second.

I'm not much of a fan TBH, they make my blood boil, though I think there are plenty of fans on here that should be able to help you. Hey guys, I really love the new Kurt Vile record so fuck you all! I just get a really chilled out beautiful vibe from it, makes me feel like I'm driving a car in the blistering sun through America. I enjoyed his debut but this is on a completely different level. One of the best records I've heard all year

Honestly, I'm hooked on it. The length of the tracks really works in its favour, I just get completely lost in the record in a daydreamy kind of way. AND NO, NOT BECAUSE IT IS SO BORING.
