Hahaha dug oot the Embrace albums for the first time in a while a few weeks ago. Tbh, they've all aged pretty badly with the exception of If You've Never Been, and I canna believe in 1998 I didnae realise how incredibly poor the vocals are on The Good Will Out. This New Day is also the most ridiculous "I'm the king of the world" Prozac music ever after hearing it with fresh ears

Feeder from 1997-2001 were on a roll, even the b-sides for that period are great (I RE-IMPLORE everyone here to listen to at least Yesterday Went Too Soon and Polythene! ) They've got some quality songs after that period, but got a bit ballady overall.

Sort of.. Too many great albums between 65-75, difficult. Everything immediately dies out in 1976 as well, rough year.

I was just about to post 'great list Ton, well done lad' when I saw you've rated Chapterhouse's decent but dated Whirlpool above the sensation that is Loveless by MBV. That's like putting The Bluetones above Oasis, The Others ahead of the The Libertines or Gerry & the Pacemakers above The Beatles.

With Fugazi, I don't see why not, they're odd because for all intents and purposes they should be a 'Hardcore' band I suppose, but they're not quite, they have a really solid and at times funky rhythm section with lots of angular scratchy guitars over the top. Have you ever listened to the Minutemen? They're like a harder, louder and shoutier version I always think. I absolutely love their second album 'Steady Diet of Nothing', I would recommend trying that out.
