There is a site where someone lists youtube links for each weeks playlist, I remember watching whatever version they broadcast in the UK as well as stuff like the headbangers ball back in the day, great times. Have been going through the very early 90s shows and feeling nostalgic for something I can't really even remember but still I'm finding some cool shit. Like anything it makes you realise just how much shit every era has, though I am really fond of the whole look & sound of alternative music around 90/91. Alternative means shit now. Anyway, I'll post some videos of interest in this thread. Pete Shelley of buzzcocks fame goes Synth-pop, someone in the comments pointed out exactly what I was thinking, it sounds like north american scum

In the 90s, Billy Bragg looked like Frank Skinner. I'm getting this album for sure, Have seen him perform this song a couple of times but never heard the actual recorded version, it sounds like the fucking Lemonheads!

YES YES YES. Even though I was like 4 when that song was released it immediately takes you back to that period. For me, it combines the British alternative scene with the American. Early 90's is immensely cool imo, as opposed to all these hip try hard you see right now.

That tube is superb. There is just a kind of attitude in the music, a don't give a fuck one, so many of the songs from that era have a dreamy kind of vibe to them.
Basically we can blame Oasis for ruining alternative music forever, worst band ever.
