There have been a few rumours circulating, they were definitely in Wales, where Gil Norton works. Paul McCartney's manager posted an intagram picture saying he was listening to the new Pixies album. Other reports suggest all of Kim's bass parts had been removed and replaced by a new bassist, rank if that's the case?

That would indeed be rank. But given Black Francis' previous form, I wouldn't put it past him.
