I'm late on this probably (?) but just saw the trailer for the documentary A band called Death and it's about these black dudes in the 70s who recorded a killer punk album but never got signed or something like that because they were negroes and made RRROCKmusic.
Put their album on on Youtube and it's pretty good indeed. Anyone seen the doc?

Yeah I'd recommend checking it out. It is kind of like this years Searching For Sugarman, quite heartwhelming in spots. I thought the record they released was decent at best, though Freakin Out is a superb tune.

I really rate the album, I stumbled across falter reading Mos Def talking about it, it mentioned then that he was involved in the making of the documentary but I'm not sure if it ever came about. The documentary was decent enough

Fuck, we used to have a song with riff very similar to the one of Freaking Out, it was baptised as The Ramonian
