I've given about 20 albums a go off exy this year and they've all been shite, I've now given up.
Has this been the worst year for releases in the history of music?

I think it has been an incredible year for music, both in terms of quality and quantity.

Judging by my RYM account and considering the year has not ended yet, this has been the best one since 2009, when I rated 5 albums with a 4,5/5.
Taking only albums with 8/10 or more:
2013 - 1 with 9/10, 3 with 8/10 and 2 8/10 EPs.
2012 - 3 rated 8/10.
2011 - 1 rated 9/10, 3 with 8/10.
2010 - 5 with 8/10 plus an EP.

At the age of 26 I'm still the youngest forum member babu  Listened to foxygen, the first tune was brilliant and the rest of it was boring hippy bullshit The song with bible references was one of the worst things ever, "I read the bible"!
