Quite liking Grassed Inn by Blank Realm, seen you didn't rate it so high though.

Not overwhelmed by Mozzas new record on first listen. Musically it is quite different for him but everything feels a minute or two longer than it should be. The bonus tracks seem much better than the majority of the record. Surprised the couple of new ones he was doing live a few years ago haven't made the cut.

Will give Mozz a go this weekend.
The new BJM record is excellent. I was really put off their albums after the last 3, which varied between crap jams to plain fucking shite, but this is really good, sticks to their strengths. Pysched to see them again tomorrow.

'THE ENDLESS RIVER'
Pink Floyd can confirm that they are releasing a new album, The Endless River, in October 2014. It is an album of mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993/4 Division Bell sessions which feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. The album is produced by David Gilmour with Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson. Work is still in progress, but more details to come at the end of the summer.

Let's stick to 20 years old instrumental discards then.

So... Morrissey's new album. Can't say I'm convinced after a couple of listens. It's all strangely humourless by his standards. There are some fine introspective, dark moments, but I found myself longing for a 3 minute classic Mozz pop track with a silly name, like Throwing My Arms Around Paris. I'm Not A Man is the sexual politics version of the Meat is Murder title track - shite, in other words.

It has really grown on me. Definitely in the lower regions of his solo work but I'm a sucker for anything he does.
