sunday lunchtime thing announced. no idea what to expect from this but could be quite interesting....
This year’s Sunday afternoon special guest will be an enormously unique performance of ‘ATOMIC BOMB! WHO IS WILLIAM ONYEABOR? - a celebration of music from the mysterious West African synth pioneer William Onyeabor to be performed by the Atomic Bomb! band which features an ever-evolving collective of internationally acclaimed musicians.
The Latitude audience will be treated to a one-off line-up featuring Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem), Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Sinkane, Scritti Politti, and Mahotella Queens, but the bill doesn’t end there! The full scale of this unique collaboration will be unveiled at show time so, festival goers should keep their eyes peeled for the secret additions.
In the true nature of Mr Onyeabor’s intrigue and mystique, we will be revealing further featuring artists over the coming weeks, and holding back some very special guests as a surprise on the day.
there's still apparently a special guest slot playing the mainstage that won't be announced til the festival itself. no idea who that could be - lots of people are saying prince due to the not announcing it until the day thing but he just seems too big surely.
