first proper big announcement for latitude today featured in the poster below... as always with latitude im a bit disappointed by the headliners but il see mogwai on friday, damon albarn on saturday and black keys on sunday which isnt bad just not too exciting. further down in the bill there's plenty of things im looking forward to though for me its not one of the better latitude lineups. kelis, slowdive, tom vek, conor oberst, billy bragg, booker t, goat, the war on drugs, parquet courts should all be decent though.

Surprised they got a band the size of black keys, they are big business now. Not that I'm that arsed about them now but still would like to see them but a bit shit they will clash with Lykke Li. Some good stuff but as usual overall I'm disappointed but by the time it is all announced I'll probably be happy enough. For some reason strange reason I was expecting it to be the Charlatans headlining.

yeah for me there's loads of alright stuff announced so far but nothing to really get me excited.
having said that, im sure after 10 pints when helen gets the jack daniels out we'll all be singing along to sit down by james nicely.

Mogwai are a band I'd love to see (& probably wouldn't ever pay to see live) yet I can't imagine myself being in the mood for them come 10pm when I've been on it all day. Unless Albarn gets out some serious hits (which I can't see myself, maybe 1 or 2 at best) I can see that flopping like he did last time with the good, the bad the queen. Wish they got the same headliners as Bestival every year.

yeah i get what you mean about mogwai. ive seen them live twice though and they were excellent both times, just a bit of a downer when youve been on the piss all day. spiritualized at latitude was exactly the same, thought it was a load of shit. saw them a few years later on a cold winter night and it was brilliant. slowdive into mogwai might work though as slowdive will be a must see and hopefully get me in the mood for that kinda shit.
albarn i will definitley see but yeah i think it will be dull. i saw some of the footage from that bbc6music festival and whilst i like the tunes it just seems a bit lacking live.
surprising conor oberst and tom vek are so far down. here's hoping for another few big names to come between now and july. RICHARD ASHCROFT being announced a few days before the festival last year was huge.

just listened to it - decent but the production seems a bit lacking to me.
listening to it reminded me of the power they had live. we were both feeling fucking shit from SATITUDE werent we and tentatively having our first pints of the day when all of a sudden superfood made us feel back to 100% and got us ready to go and cause mayhem with THE DOT later that day
