I hope they eventually return with an album like Giants minus the massive fuck-off first single. If it's all mid-table fodder there'll be no point.

Not remotely. They had been mediocre at best live for at least a decade and apart from the odd good track here and there, the output was mediocre too.

at first i was eager for the noel/beady eye material. was a bit bored with the last oasis album. but beady eye have been woeful. liked noel's album. but he's taking too long with the follow up. so the answer would be yes.

Noel's and BE's best songs so far haven't featured on albums. Same old story The annoyance will be when Noel writes a classic and sings on a song he can't hit the notes to. See: Let's All Make Believe (demo).

I miss the early Oasis line-up. The proper Oasis. The only Oasis that counts. Gem Archer and Andy Bell can get fucked.

Not really. I've not listened to them for a good few years now. Tbh at the moment that kind of music isn't interesting me. If they came back tomorrow I can't imagine myself wanting to pay £65 quid to see them in a stadium . Would probably try to go to any warm up gigs but that'd be my limit. I'll hear a song I love on radio or on a jukebox from time to time and enjoy it but as of right now I've no interest in hearing any if their records for a long time. Same thing goes for the charlatans.
The past year ive been on a 60s and 70s kick of soul/funk/jazz and slowly but surely working my way through zappa's back catalogue so the oasis style of anthemic guitar rock just isn't very appealing to me right now.
I'm sure when the time is right I'll put on headshrinker, stay young and I hope I think I know & have a blast whilst being reminded why I loved them so much - but at the same time the majority of their output I wouldn't be too upset if I never heard it again.

I wouldn't go as far as Mahoney but I rarely go out of my way to listen to the boys these days. Wouldn't be at all arsed about a reunion either - as much as I've enjoyed the few Beady Eye gigs I've been to, I could easily have gone without the Oasis covers in the set. I'll never disown them, and I'll always come back to the great tunes, but if I said I missed them I'd be lying.

Can't say I miss them. There's no "what could have been" factor with them. They lasted long enough for us to know they fulfilled their potential. With Liam's voice and Noel's inspiration gone, there's not much to miss. But I still have a bunch of Oasis songs on my iPod.

I think for all the ppl saying they don't miss them - and I include myself - if tomorrow there was a comeback announced followed by the usual nme cover story with them slagging off everyone announcing how the new album was a return to the old school rock n roll we'd all be mad fer it again!

i had my spell of not listening to oasis much towards the end of their time as a band together really so actually i'm starting to come back round to being quite pumped to see them again if they were to reform.
i've probably listened to oasis more in the last year than i did in the 5 years prior to that.

Just the other day I even watched a bit of the 2004 DM DVD... OK, I guess I kinda miss Oasis. Or the kind of love and enthusiasm they elicited in me back in the days.

Nah it was of it's time and that time has passed. Will still always wanna hear Liam's voice on anything but I think Beady Eye and Noel's solo endeavours have shown us they aren't gonna surprise us in the future (or at least, near future). Anthemic guitar rock has been done to death over the 50 to 60-odd years, and I can't imagine Liam or Noel have the motivation to do anything else, sadly.
I listened to Be Here Now in the car yesterday, and for the first time in ages, it bored the lfie out of me. Can still listen to something like The Masterplan, and sometimes DM, but apart from that, the albums don't move me anymore.

How about Giants? It's my favourite album these days. I'd go as far as a masterpiece tbh.
I don't miss the lack of new music overall but I do miss them to some extent. Nostalgia plays a big part for me. I still search for live stuff on youtube coming home from the pub drunk, in fact I think there's nothing better. On Wednesday I got home hammered and watched a few of the tracks from the Jools Holland gig and continued the drinking. Splendid.
