The Jesus Abyss build on what they achieved with last years "Distorted Dreams" with the magnificent "IN SPACE". An eclectic mix of tracks that sees the Abyss tackle everything from ambient space-rock to Tom Waits balladry. Political indie-rock to the epic album closer, Owl On A Skateboard. Always moving forward, never staying in one place, the Jesus Abyss have created yet another batch of nuggets. 1. Heterosphere (In Space) [04:12] 2. Galaxy Cluster [03:14] 3. Violation Nation [03:39] 4. Vernal Equinox [02:13] 5. Lord (I Beg) [02:12] 6. Maurizio Merli's Moustache [04:33] 7. Owl On A Skateboard [05:36]
Stream/Download: yellowperilrecords.bandcamp.com/ Direct Download: www.sendspace.com/file/yjekfj"Owl On A Skateboard" will be the lead single for the record. The song is inspired from a trip to Folkstone I had last month to see British Sea Power. I arrived & it looked a shithole so whilst in the hotel I youtubed "Folkstone" to see if anything interesting would come up and discovered Ablie, The Skateboarding Owl. The video fascinated me so much that I had to pay tribute to the Folkstone sensation.

Is Karl really a veggie nowadays? Just had a sausage roll so I feel bad (plus pound bakery was empty so I had to pay £1.10 for just ONE ) Owl On A Skateboard, great tune Can anybody submit to Yellow Peril Records? Me and my part time band Fizzy Beans have written several tracks while pished, track names include Lion On Wheels, Steve Kean (The Bean) and Sat In A Cardboard Box. Mahoney seems like the one man I could trust with these.

I know I'm prone to shouting my mouth off on this forum, but I think I'm completely justified in saying this is greatest single I've heard all year. Tempted to get the beers in and listen to it on repeat.

I feel like the album has been out shadowed by Owl On A Skateboard, now I know how Scatman John felt when he released his album.

Lord (I Beg) is tremendous, like a lost Tom Waits masterpiece or something.
How do you make the albums? Where do you take all those pianos and sax and so on?

Thanks Barns, I was actually attempting a Tom Waits style song so I'm glad it came across. Just a shame about the shitty vocals. I use a bunch of different programs/websites, I tend to use these websites Adobe Audition (to edit everything) JamStudio Ambient Music Software ButtonBeats Ambient Mixer LoopLabs Looperman and anywhere else I can steal loops/samples from on the net. Beats trying to figure out new combinations of my only 4 chords.
