Yeah sad times at the moment. The worst team in our history, relegated to the 3rd tier for only the 2nd time in our history, massive debts, an owner that has moved back to America and doesn't care. Hoping the takeover goes through and we can start from scratch again.

don't get much worse than a back to back relegation.  i see both wigan and blackburn are coming up this season. so sunderland should be able to hack it next season. |

What a day! Coleman sacked. Short has paid off the 100 million debt and sold us to a consortium of as yet unnamed foreign investors. The word is they have links to the middle east and are massively rich. All will be revealed in the coming weeks. They have their own man to take over the managers job. Football is mad.

The terrifying thing was being relegated to League One with debts of about 100 million. Administration was the worrying thing. We are now debt free and in a football world where most clubs are massively in debt this is a massive advantage and hopefully we can now move forward as a club. Waiting for the takeover approval from the EFL and the consortium group will be announced etc. The talk is Stewart Donald who is heading the consortium is involved with a businessman called Juan Sartori. They were looking at buying Oxford last year as Donald was a boyhood fan. Interesting thing is Sartori is married into the Russian family who own Monaco. They are worth about 8.5 billion.
