In what might be the craziest news I have heard from here in a while... the place where I live has become the official kit sponsor for Barrow AFC www.barrowafc.com/news/2024/june/loyal-sponsors-continue-to-support-club/barrowafc.shop/The kit looks really good but I am not sure whey they put the maple leaf on it as people are mad it's now the actual flag of Newfoundland. I guess so people know we are part of Canada -- anyways it's causing a pretty big fuss here. The only reason I can think of them sponsoring a football team in this region is due to Barrow having offshore windfarms and we just started getting into this ... I suspect they are trying to pinch workers as the whole thing has to do with immigration of people to here. Anyways I guess I will have to support Barrow AFC |
