yeah me and keith will be there on the sunday for the ride day. beers in the salmon and ball beforehand obviously.
pretty impressed with the undercard this year as last year was a bit pony before pixies/horrors. this year im wanting to see ride, patti smith, savages, mac demarco, ducktails, errors, baxter dury etc pending clashes

I'm glad you've cleared that up. It's annoyed me for about 5 years. Given Rod's habit of memorising street names/train timetables I thought he was referring to its original title or something.

Their roundhouse gig was just fucking fantastic. Not bothering with fields day as I don't want to tarnish the memory like I did by seeing the stone roses too many times. I can't imagine Ride translating to a huge outdoor crowd very well.

my plan today is sit in the salmon and ball until about 4.30 then head over for mac demarco/patti smith/savages/ride. that 4 will do me.

Saw:
Allah-Las - very decent blissed out start to the day 8/10
Matthew E White- third time seeing him, third different format- just him (guitar) and a bass. Not as good as full band, not as bad as just piano. Stayed for About 30 mins 6.5/10
Mac De Marco- brilliant set, perfect sunny day festival performer- first time seeing him live bit love the records- they sound even better live. He's got the skills and the stage presence. Loads of fun 8/10
Patti Smith- highlight by a distance. 2nd time seeing her and at 68 years old she killed it. 10/10
Jacco Gardner- shockingly quiet sound but in the louder moments on it was brilliant 7/10
Walked past Ride playing on the way out and they sounded boring as fuck. Like the records.
Weather was perfect- 20 degrees and sunny. Good beer away from the main bars. Good food and a great vibe. One of the best festival days I've had
