Didn't even know he had one, just youtubed some bits and I'll be grabbing it.
Anyone heard the new Blood Orange record? I've heard real good things & the song I just listened to on youtube made me real excited for the record.

Been listening to some fantastic new stuff recently, the best of which is the new Blood Orange album. Who knew that the teenager that fronted Test Icicles would go on to be such an accomplished and serious artist?
Also strong recommendations for the recent records by Freaks of Nurture, Africaine 808, Idris Ackamoor, Heron Oblivion and Lake Ruth.

Am really enjoying Mick Harvey's new record "Delirium Tremens", the 3rd record of Serge Gainsbourg translations/covers, fan of PJ Harvey/Cave & so on will probably dig. Also finally got around to the Goon Sax record, pretty sweet stuff.
First listen to Let's Eat Grandma's debut was positive too.

I've never really spent much time with his stuff, other than dipping my toe into the obvious bits of his back catalogue, but i'm loving the new Aphex Twin EP 'Cheetah'.

Mentioned it further up but the Africaine 808 album is fast becoming one of my favourites of the year.
Hard to describe it except that it's full of different world music, but with western modern twists. I make it sound horrible, but it works really really well and never sounds forced.
