Could not made it to the end of that pretentious and repetitive essay, but the problem is not what he did last year but five years ago when he unnecessarily announced the end of the world.
IT'S JUST A REFLEKTOR

Glad he's/they are back. Yeah he looks silly but at least he didn't put out music for the sake of it when his heart wasn't in it...
LIKE THE STROKES KEEP DOING

Proves he's a tosser just the like the rest of us. In reality, most bands/musicians make very little or fuck all money from records these days so touring regularly is the only way to make a decent whack. Murphy has obvs realised he can't command quite the same amount of cash DJing/remixing than he first thought.

I mean, it doesn't matter but I think he really knew it would happen. Comebacks are cool for the Pixies or MBV but we're taking it too far if we allow it deliberately...
PS: BHN TOUR PLEASE

LCD were always much better live than on record anyway. Look forward to another tour but couldn't give a fuck about a new record.

Yeah, Sound of Silver for me is one of THEE great records of recent times.
Can't wait to hear the new Bowie, it has leaked properly now. The tracks I've heard sound tremendous.
Looking at my RYM release calender, plenty of stuff I'm interested in hearing that is due out very soon
Hinds - Leave Me Alone Night Beats - Who Sold My Generation Ty Segall - Emotional Mugger John Cale - M:FANS Adrian Younge - Something About April II Savages - Adore Life Jesu & Sun Kil Moon - Jesu / Sun Kil Moon Brooke Waggoner - Sweven & the new Steve Mason isn't that far away.

wasn't particularly fussed by the hinds lp.
also got lps by mystery jets, suede, tindersticks, eleanor friedberger, bonnie prince billy and bloc party all out in the next few weeks.
ive a feeling this year may finally be the year i get into tindersticks properly. i listened to the self titled debut last year and really enjoyed it and they seem like they should be right up my street. gonna spend some time getting into them once im over my cure and new order phase.

I must confess I'm pretty surprised with all that Hinds fuzz, have never seen them live but all I've heard so far is pretty mediocre. Will listen the album though but it would be a surprise if I dig it.

I've no idea if hinds are any good, but they covered a headcoats song so they are ok in my book.

I'm curious about them because they're Spanish and played with the likes of the Libertines just with two singles out, good reviews both from nme and pitchfork but I don't get it.

Anyone heard the Bowie record yet? I've read one good and one average review.
Love the Blackstar single but the reviews suggest it's not typical of the rest of the record
