It’s a shame there’s no demos or early versions. In slash’s book he talks about the original sessions being similar in style to appetite, but then axl enforced tons of overdubs & additional instruments making the whole thing sound bloated.
Definitely can imagine a killer on point 10 track version of use your illusion that could have sounded rough and ready.
