Or songs that you really enjoy, but can only listen to sporadically because they're a bit full-on. Doesn't have to be tracks about heartache or death or whatever, but are just TENSE.
I've always found The Thief by CAN hard work. There's no doubt it's amazing, but that relentless rhythm just builds and builds and you have a mad man like Malcolm Mooney telling you over and over IT'S FAR TOO LATE IT'S FAR TOO LATE. You need to take a break afterwards, tbh.

The first two minutes of the stones 'we love you' falls right into the definition of this. The intensity of that piano riff, the horns and the phasing of the "wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Definitely in my top 5 faves by the stones but no one I want to hear on a loop for 45 minutes, either.
