About every six months I get in a Shins mood and will listen to nothing else for days. For me each album improved on the last until Port of Morrow (which was shite). Wincing the Night Away will always be one of my favourite records. They're recording a new one at the moment- hopefully a return to form.
Never been a big big fan but I think James Mercer lost it when he decided to abandon the naivety and APPARENT simplicity of the songs and started to overthink the process. People tend to confuse success with simplicity, but sometimes it's just hitting all the right spots. In my opinion his last Broken Bells record was pretty good and quite overlooked.

The cribs & the lemonheads
Been waiting for years to get sick of these bands but with semi regularity I stick them on, sing along to every word and absolutely fucking love it. Cannot tire of them. Reckon I got into them both around the same time (2008) so perhaps i'll tire of them soon (oasis took me a around a decade to finally tire of).
