I'm amazed SRK has the nerve to still post here.

Spot on, yet again. Yeah i keep going back to Noel's album periodically just to see if i can work out why he thinks it's so experimental. Seems to boil down to somebody speaking French on one of the records.

Ugh. Plus, the setlist for this show (and thus, every other one he'll do in this tour I assume)

Saw him in montreal the other night. Moved dead in the water into the main set after the 2 oasis songs, and did let the lord shine a light on me in the encore. Interestingly, the setlist said "lord shine a light on me OR the right stuff", so that one's probably coming soon. Makes sense, what with the backing singer there.

Surely him and Lily Allen have bought those nominations. The album is terrible.
Guess Liam will have to make do with selling out Old Trafford Cricket ground.

Love the album tbf, so well deserved. It's the best he's released since Giants - now here's hoping he doesn't regress back to Heathen Chemistry again

It is certainly no bad album, a bit scattered but aye. Doesn't deserve any prize though, hoping Wolf Alice will get it

Caught them live playing out some programme last night. Was a decent enough tune but nothing special I felt, still I haven't heard the album so maybe I should give it a whirl. The girl seemed a bit annoying though plus was wearing a shirt that had 'choose love' splashed upon it. As a proclaimed misanthrope (Baz) I feel this hippy shit is no longer for me. Just a shame I really like bootcut cords ffs.

It was an acoustic version which (as nice as it was) is quite far from what they usually do. In fact, I really like their records but live they're a different beast. Although I definitely can understand why anyone >30 would not enjoy them on first sight.

it's a decent album tbf, although not quite so sure why he's made a point of it being left field... maybe how he wrote and recorded it was radically different to how he usually works but the finished product is not a massive jump at all. not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

I think it sounds pretty different. There's not much on it that sounds like "Oasis' - minimal acoustic guitar, a lot of electronic beats. I listened to it in full on a drive two days ago, for the first time in months. It's good, and probably the most solid of his solo efforts so far, but I can do without the repetitive "Keep on reaching" (I cringe at the "Can you keep a secret?" and the pointless Wednesday tracks.
