"Liverpool are making this title challenge look relatively easy"
Yet they can't beat a weakened Utd side who are soooo far behind them in terms of quality, and bottle it against Everton.
Easy.

i havent thought lfc would win the league all season...city are a special team and could be on the verge of a celtic style domination of English football....that said we havent "lost" the league with draws and united and everton, 2 respectable points in any season. youre talking about a points total thats still higher at this stage than the aresnal invincibles and the united '99 team....two absolute phenomenons
still think there'll be points dropped by both....but if city win them all (making it 14 on the spin) and follow a 100 pt season with a 98 pt season then fair play to them. difference is the squad....able to have legitimate first teamers on the bench whilst lfc are calling on players who probably wont be at the club next season (origi, lallana, sturridge)

We have a lot of depth, but the injuries in vulnerable spots are starting to pile up. Fernandinho is the one irreplaceable player and he's out for a month (thankfully, mostly a relatively easy run for that month), Laporte being out and stones being creaky means we're relying on Kompany staying healthy for a consistent run, which is always dangerous, and now KDB going down, means having to rely more on Mahrez, who (despite his goal on the weekend) has been awful for the last few months.
Beat Watford at home on Saturday and the danger may be past, but that run of Spurs and united at the end of april, mixed with some CL games (I assume), will be tough.

Here's the team I hope we pick for the derby, srk:
Grant Valencia Jones Rojo Darmian McTominay Fred Carrick Phelan Solksjaer Sanchez
Sanchez was a tough call as he's that spent nowadays. Picked him just ahead of Bebe though.

Picked him just ahead of Bebe though. curious about this, what if losing costs you a CL spot? i do think the whole #acityunited thing is a bit cringey tbh....if it was efc and mufc i think id just stick my head in the oven and wait for whichever mercifully came first; death or the new season. and the whole "liverpool would be unbearable thing" makes me laugh when its written by someone with a hybrid mufc/mcfc/efc badge as on online avatar followed by "theyd never stop going about it" even though they've posted the gerrard slip gif twice a day for 5 years!!! irony is definitely lost on some...

Nah obviously I hope we destroy them, if we win the battle yet they win the war then that's seemingly the best outcome. I probably wouldn't feel as down at a defeat though so will feel a bit more relaxed about the whole thing, but there's no way I could go into the game hoping for anything but a 10-0.
City still haven't defended their title though plus would end this quadruple talk - thus 1% of me, come on Merseyside! Paul Ince refers to both as 'we' after all! (can anyone stand the bloke?)

I guess similar to everton, it's nice to have just one big rival so you don't have to worry about this sort of moral quandary.

brendan rodgers house burgled
Brendan Rodgers' wife and stepdaughter are believed to have been inside his East Dunbartonshire home when it was broken into.
Family possessions were stolen, including medals won during Rodgers' reign as Celtic manager.
The Leicester boss has just spoken out about the incident.
“It’s obviously something that’s not nice for any family to go through. As I said it gave the girls a fright.
“The last 10 days there’s been a lot of talk about my move to here.
"I don’t want to detract from an amazing time we had in Glasgow. The experiences we had there were amazing on and off the field. We don’t want to let the last 10 days cloud any of that.
“We’ve dealt with it, we’ve had lots of support. They’re both safe.
“It’s an unfortunate incident, it’s sad for the girls - for someone to come in at the night - it’s horrendous really, I just made sure they were secure up there.
“We are looking to buy a home here in Leicester. They will move down very soon. We will throw our lives into here and I look forward to that.”

I think City should put out under 18s for all the remaining cup fixtures. The league is all that matters.

Another 0-0 today for Liverpool if they're lucky but I think Burnley might turn them over.

I follow a City fan twitter account called “city watch”, who post transfer rumours and live tweet games, that sort of thing, and had noticed they hadn’t been doing so for a few weeks, so I looked it up to see what the deal was. They hadn’t tweeted since February 22nd, and their last tweet, which was an innocuous quote from Pep's weekly press conference speaking about Sané, had 136 replies (they usually get 5-10). I clicked on the replies, and found this: www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/how-city-watch-founder-finally-15875003Oh. Oh dear.
