My return to the music business after an almost three year absence. This is The Jesus Abyss' most uncompromising work to date. A dark & brooding Ambient soundtrack to the times of uncertainty we are currently living in. Bound to cause a divide between the fanbase, especially in Scotland where I'm expected to keep reproducing Owl On A Skateboard. This is a mood piece to stick on with headphones & drift away to. I knew you'd be back!
I really enjoyed this mate, seemed to suit perfectly for a Sunday morning. Reminded me a lot of Blade Runner, with some Lynchian vibes thrown in.
It's like if David Bowie wasn't such a pussy and made all of Low like side two of Low.

The promotional video is amazing, will listen to the whole thing later.
One advice, I'm pretty certain the 'vegan music' tag could be used for attracting people to this scary cave.

Great stuff, really impressed. Like that its totally different from other stuff of yours that ive enjoyed (in particular 27 not out) youve actually inspired me to start making music again in an odd way, in that I dreamt up / got the basic plot for a short story in my head in work other night and I'm recite over it to a backing track (a la 'the gift'). Thumbs up.

Thanks for listening Dan, appreciated. Look forward to hearing what you come up with. I often used to come up with ideas whilst at work and would just write them on the notepad on my phone. If anyone ever ends up with my old phone they'll be really confused by some of the shit I wrote in there.

Sounding good. Nice to see The Jesus Abyss back as I'd feared the worst from them. I've started the creative process of making music again and have just this morning finished work on something that at least in terms of music sounds like Rihanna doing Blade Runner Vocally, I don't know where this will go. I like to just find acapella of random raps people have turtleed to Soundcloud and places but I might have a go at doing something myself this time. People have said I sound a lot like 2005-era Rihanna when I sing at work.

glad to see someone else recognising 27 not out. i always thought it was by far mahoney's best work. Not heard it for ages but it was the voice that did it - stark and bleak. Amy Winehouse. 27. dead. Jimi hendrix. 27. Dead. Karl mahoney. 27.....not out

Another (sort of) release. When I started with ideas for the last record I initially made an hour long piece that I soon realised no cunt on earth would ever bother to sit through (including myself ), but it sounded like a lengthy horror score, so I've put it as background music to a reading of "The Rats In The Walls", a HP Lovecraft short horror story from 1924. Quite happy how it turned out, nice to put on and chill to & a great story too if you're into that sorta thing. Also I was going through an old external hard drive & found a bunch of cover versions I recorded in early 2012. I was working on an albums worth that was going to be called "Covered In Shit" that got scrapped when I started doing the Jesus Abyss. Had forgotten these even existed tbh. Just me struggling through and ruining some classic songs, this is why I don't play guitar anymore 1: To Have & To Have Not (Billy Bragg) 2. Railroad Man (Eels) 3. Just Like Honey (The Jesus & Mary Chain) 4. Sympathetic Noose (BRMC) yellowperilrecords.bandcamp.com/album/covers-ep
