Been listening to Leaders of The Freeworld & Seldom Seen Kid a bit this week - what happened to Elbow?
Those 2 albums are bloody great. I liked bits and pieces of Build A Rocket Boys but their new one and the one before it seem like a total snoozefest compared to the 2 above-mentioned albums.
Anyone really like their later output?

Can't stand Guy Garvey's voice and their whole deliberate 'anthemic' feeling they employ in their songs. Seem like a nice group of lads though.

I'm still a fan...I liked most of 'the takeoff and landing', but haven't heard the new one yet. Quite liked Guy's solo album, too.

I have a bit of a soft spot for them - I still love Leaders of the Free World, they were great live around that time too. Their most recent two records have been kinda dull though.
