For an album that's obviously great, Purple Rain has always been lower down on my list of favourite Prince albums. I think perhaps because when I first came to Prince, it was the album that had all of the most recognisable songs on it, you pretty much know all of the songs and so I sort of steered away from while I ventured elsewhere. I still think it's a great record, but its the one I probably listen to the least out of his classic albums. |
