My favourite discovery in a long time.
The best desert blues album I've ever heard. Sonically this is up there with Beggars Banquet. They're also infinitely more dangerous than the stones by default. It doesn't get more real than Tinariwen, a band consisting of Tuareg people, some are rebel fighters who were trained by the Libyan army, some were captured, tortured and exiled from one desert location to another, yet somehow they are on their 7th album, which is set for world domination.
