Hope it's true anyway as I'm seeing them in a few weeks and was kinda dreading serge on vocals.

They should just merge the two bands. Kasabian’s full set is at least 60% garbage. Get Harvey and start playing The People

Genuinely shocked they didn't just let it rest for another year or two and then try and sneak tom back in like nothing had ever happened.

Also figured serge would finally make the play for centre stage because you can tell that it completely irks him that people focus on Tom more than him.


All that to say, kasabian hasn't put a good song out in 10 years**, so who gives a shit?

Hope of the States were brilliant. I’m pretty sure they played Reading and Leeds in 2006 which were there final two shows. I think they played Leeds on the Sunday which would have been there last gig.

I’d a litre of vodka still unopened and decided it would have been a waste not to drink it so drank it straight for my breakfast. I know I went to see HOTS but can’t remember a thing about it.

In fact the only thing I do remember about the entire day was fingering some girl I fancied at the time who’d bought a day ticket for the Sunday at the back of the field during the Foo Fighters headline slot.

FAKE EDIT: so I got my years mixed up I fingered the girl the year before, was definitely during the Foo Fighters and they played ‘05. According to the poster HOTS played Leeds on the Friday in ‘06 but I’m 99.9% sure that’s wrong as I definitely necked the vodka on the last day and remember going to see them but don’t remember the gig, much like Brunson at the Barfly, we all know I was there but I remember fuck all after the support act who freestyled lyrics about topics the crowd gave him.

Yeah HOTS were 06 as it was the only year I ever went to Reading. Just checked my GIG ARCHIVE and they played Sunday at reading.
