Everyone has to earn an honest crust but the corporate language there is cringing.

I'm a hero to the pokemon community, I've caught 'em all. These things are always hilarious/sad to see, but that's just the life of a semi-successful musician tbh. There was a cool NME article a couple of years ago about what happened to the Indie stars of 2005 that you might enjoy www.nme.com/features/10-years-on-what-are-the-stars-of-2005-indie-doing-now-756904Eamon from BSP/Brakes estate agent profile was also classic, can't find the link for that though. To quote Chrissie's favourite artist of all time "And in any case it wouldn't be the same, cause we've all grown up and we've got our lives And the values that we had once upon a time, seem stupid now cause the rent must be paid" That first Cooper Temple Clause record has dated a little, yet still has some real crackers throughout. They deserved to be bigger than they were, though despite most people rating it highly I thought at the time that the follow up was a real disappointment. No heard it for many years though.

i loved the first two albums.
i actually listened to the third album for the first time ever a few weeks back and it's pretty much as bad as i expected. sounds like a completely different band.
they were fucking great live back in the day too.

To quote Chrissie's favourite artist of all time "And in any case it wouldn't be the same, cause we've all grown up and we've got our lives And the values that we had once upon a time, seem stupid now cause the rent must be paid" I knew that was a Weller lyric without even having heard it, the cunt. Fuck, Eamon was an absolute star of the 2004/05 indie scene. It's hard to credit now but BSP were such an INTENSE live band when they first arrived. They had such an other-world mystery to them, like they had stepped off a First World War battlefield and picked up guitars. Eamon was such a big part of their live show. The first time I saw them remains one of the best gigs I've ever seen. I'd buy a house off him for that alone.

www.realtor.com/realestateagents/Eamon-Hamilton_Kingston_NY_1725362_151224153When Brakes did their 10th anniversary gigs a few years back, I got chatting to Tom in the bar afterwards and it was quite interesting just hearing how tough it must be to do this shit. He was saying that they'd been burned quite badly by a couple of labels (as both Brakes and ESP) in the past that left them in financial strife that it put them off going down that avenue again. He said at the time that Eamon had songs for a new Brakes album, but it just wasn't financially viable for them because he'd have to quit his job and move back to England full time. I note that ESP are probably going to go down the Kickstarter/Go Fund Me route for a new album as they were putting the feelers out on Facebook recently. It seems like the most viable way for a small band, with a cultish following, to do things these days.

If you keep rating records like that, you might be the first new person to enter the soapbox end of years list in 5 years or so!

yes imagine that, a man making a no-fuss, steady, honest living after having to stop the rock'n'roll life due to Crohn's Disease. Hanging's too good for him.

I suspect monkeytennis has a similar profile on LinkedIn which he maintains on a weekly basis along with selfieing another gelled up hairdo. Corporate clowns and their corporate sounds, sad.

Does he? Its a company profile blurb, hence its just a bit of bollocks written to make him sound like an agreeable human being. All company profile blurb and linkedin pieces are just a load of bollocks and generally designed to hide individuality. Bit harsh to judge anyone from them as it's not supposed to be an all encompassing character profile. One day you might have one Sully and someone in HR will dream up some crap about you and post it on the company website.

True that it's unlikely he created that page himself but I suspect he still has a LinkedIn account highlighting his Project Management capabilities, lol.

Some people on here are proper Noel Gallaghers. Who on earth doesn't have control over creating a social media page? If you think a company is responsible for an employee's LinkedIn page then you're a bigger mug than the one on your shitty Ikea workdesk.
I find it laughable that most people only associate ambition in terms of work - only once do they succumb to the pigs above are their lives deemed valid by most. Sad bastards with pointy shoes.
