Some people on here are proper Noel Gallaghers. Who on earth doesn't have control over creating a social media page? If you think a company is responsible for an employee's LinkedIn page then you're a bigger mug than the one on your shitty Ikea workdesk. I find it laughable that most people only associate ambition in terms of work - only once do they succumb to the pigs above are their lives deemed valid by most. Sad bastards with pointy shoes. What do you work as, sully? I'm not asking in a snide way, I'm genuinely interested. I fucking hate corporate speak but it's a tough world out there. Can't blame a man for making an honest buck. If you don't do it someone else will etc. Mahoney steals birthday cards for a living but you don't see Rod being a dick about it.

Small fry ebay lister (paraphrased from my LinkedIn profile of course). I work at a computer but not an office and can wander and sort the warehouse if I get bored of keybashing. I especially love I can rock up in pumps, jeans and an Elliott Smith t-shirt. My boss is also so laid back then when he asked me to create a Twitter page to promote some listings he saw me frown so just left if there. I wouldn't change my job for anything that pays higher yet makes me feel uncomfortable or involves corporate talk or shameless advertising. If this is my lack of ambition then sobeit, I'm happy with that  |

During one of Scotland's rare warm spells I rocked up to my work in shorts for three days straight. And I'm one of the top three contributors in the all-important 'Rate the last gig...' thread. |

sully, you are so out of touch and judgemental, it's quite sweet  yes i have a linkedin page, no i don't like linkedin, i update it only when i absolutely have to, which is approximately once every 6 months. i'm in the office, typing in jeans, dr martens and a t-shirt. non-finance people stopped wearing ties 5 years ago, you weird old egg. |
